What is Sri Vidhya

“Sri” means prosperity, wealth, auspiciousness, well-being, and the eternal state of Supreme Brahman without beginning or end—the supreme state. The knowledge that explains this is called **Sri Vidya**.

Sri Vidya is a divine worship of the Supreme Mother, based on the Vedas. Through Sri Vidya Upasana, one understands how creation came into existence and how we are part of it. Naturally, we merge with creation, sustenance, and dissolution, remain unattached, and attain liberation from the cycle of worldly existence. Sri Vidya grants material enjoyment and spiritual liberation.

In Sri Vidya, the principal deity worshipped is **Lalita Tripura Sundari**. She is praised through the thousand names of Sri Lalita Sahasranama and the three hundred names of Trishati. She is worshipped in the form of the **Sri Yantra** or **Sri Chakra**.

This body itself is the Sri Chakra, and the Sri Chakra itself is the universe. It represents the microcosm and the macrocosm. The ultimate goal of any spiritual path is self-realization, and among all paths, Sri Vidya is the supreme path.
